Community through live music
Contrary to widening belief, live-music experiences need entail neither significant financial investment nor
tiresome travel for the ticketholder. Musicians value an attentive and appreciative listening audience just
as much as audiences welcome the intimacy and accessibility of the musicians in events like PSP’s monthly
concerts. In a culture rapidly losing touch with the ways in which live performance differs from other ways
one might ‘consume’ music, PSP brings it home—we are an exercise in community, offering an affordable,
comfortable, and convenient setting for neighborhood residents and itinerant concertgoers alike,
welcoming families and encouraging musicians to fully realize the opportunity to interact.
Local musicians deserve a quality stage, and audiences desire the same: win-win!
