The Bushwick Book Club Demos, Vol. 1

The huckleberries went into the freezer this week (along with my baseball team), so I suppose summer really is slipping away... Glad to have a full, distracting calendar heading into fall and beyond. <skip to calendar>

The Bushwick Book Club - Seattle marks its one-year anniversary next month, and I’m joining the celebration with a digital-only release of my nine book-related songs from the past year: The Bushwick Book Club Demos, Vol. 1. Enjoy works inspired by everything from Vonnegut to Slverstein, not to mention last year’s Narnia-inspired surprise holiday ‘hit’!

The album is available on my new Bandcamp site, where you can stream and purchase any song from the WW Catalog(ue) (including previously out-of-print material from the very early days). On-stage, we’re presenting The Time Machine at NW Bookfest this weekend—touring the show through the King County Library system into the fall/winter—and The Shining for the year-anniversary/Halloween show October 27. I was honored in August to be interviewed and filmed for a year-in-review-of-Seattle-music documentary produced by the City of Music initiative. No word yet on when/where it will air as this year’s awards ceremony was cancelled on account of the major recipients (Messrs. Vedder and Allen) being unable to attend...
